That was an emotional occasion for Kyle Coetzer, and this will undoubtedly rank at the top of his 13-year international career. As he correctly pointed out, there would be a large number of fans at home who will rejoice late into the night and cheer on the Scots throughout the tournament. All of the games in Muscat have been fantastic, and we now go to Sharjah for the remaining two games of Group A. Please remember to join us for those as well. Cheers and good luck until next time!!

It’s a fantastic sensation. Congratulations to Zeeshan and Oman for their outstanding performance. It’s an opportunity to perform on the greatest stage with the finest of the best. Back in the United States, there has been a massive outpouring of support. We’ve been through a lot in the previous several years, and the boys have worked really hard to continue to improve their game, and the coaching staff has done an outstanding job as well. As far as I’m aware, we’ll be joining a somewhat more difficult team, but there’s no need to be concerned. It’ll be an exciting bunch; we’ll go into every game with optimism and give it our all. Someone aiming for a huge score, as Berrington did in the last game, and I think we lost a few of catches, but our bowling up front and at the death has been outstanding, especially Mark Watt’s. We’ll make time to have a small celebration.

This is not the end; we will return stronger and try to improve our weaknesses. We were unable to set up a good total on the board, and because it was tough to defend such a number, we ended up bowling short, and a few such errors lost us the game. It was a difficult game for him (Jatinder Singh); regrettably, he was run out, which placed some strain on the other players, and we didn’t score much in the middle overs, falling short. I pity Oman because we were unable to provide what they need. We’re off to Namibia following this, where we’re hoping to do well.
Josh Davey Man of the Match
Today is a fantastic day for Scottish cricket. We have an early flight, so there won’t be much to celebrate, but there will be some. It was a fantastic opportunity to show off my abilities; I didn’t have much luck with the ball going to the fielders, but we’ll take what we can get. The team has a lot of bases covered, and we have the conviction that we can create some trouble. T20 is about building momentum, and if we can keep it going, we can achieve amazing things. In Group B, there are some excellent teams to compete against, and it will be a fantastic opportunity to do so.
Scotland ended the competition as the only unbeaten team in their group, and their confidence should be sky high heading into the knockout stages. Kyle Coetzer, who hasn’t had the best of luck with the bat recently, seized command today and smashed the chase in only 10 overs with a blistering 28-ball 41 that included two fours and three sixes. After limiting the home team to a small total, the others merely did their job, and it was a true team effort. In addition, despite three of the top five players establishing some beneficial rhythm, Oman’s fielding was outstanding, ensuring that they never raced away with the game. As a result, Scotland and Bangladesh from Group B will advance to the next round. The host squad had its moments, but the setback to Bangladesh wounded them hard, and despite having a strong NRR, they lost their remaining two games.
