Faf du Plessis will not be part of South Africa’s World Cup preparations, much to the surprise of many, and an inexperienced batting lineup will surely miss him.
Even though Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram, and Rassie van der Dussen have all been in good form, Faf du Plessis’ participation would have provided much-needed experience for a competition of this magnitude.
